Hi all, I did not join just for the amazing DS emojis Duke and I think that the Dutch Shepherds are an amazing mixed breed dog.
We are in the Chicago area, Duke and I met when he was 6 months old, he was living well in his foster home and sought a more permanent place to call home that's where I came in, I felt like a kid on Christmas morning when I sat downstairs for the foster to bring him over, and at that point I got the email.. they were going to adopt him to a family member of the brother from the litter.
A week or 2 later when that plan failed they called me back, was I still interested? Duh! This handsome devil is perfect for me, and the family.
Like most of us, I can go on and on about this boy. His temperment and behavior have been a dream come true. Very brilliant too.
Shall I tip my phone upside down and pour out all his pictures? I think over time I will in the meantime I'll figure out how to post them without the file being too large.

- Tell us about yourself: I'm Keith, 28 years old born and raised outside Chicago. I adopted Duke, the Dutch Shepherd from a Chicago foster based rescue. Duke had an unfortunate first 2 months of his upbringing but he's been a prince around here ever since.
Healthy, happy, energetic, and super social.

Here's my boy
So.. I've been reluctant to call him a Dutch Shepherd without the proper experience to do so, what do you all think?
