Tell us about yourself: I currently have a Border Collie and a Dutch Shepherd (or so I've been told). My DS is 12 yo, has hip dysplasia, pannus, and Valley Fever (coccidioidomycosis).

Hi. I have a dog that the vet thinks is a Dutch Shepherd. She was abandoned with three other dogs in the desert at less than a year old. Poor things were almost dead when they found our place, way out in the boonies. I put food and water out for them and trapped three of them for rescue. The fourth evaded the trap but moved in with us. She's 12 now and has had a rough life. She was diagnosed with hip dyplasia, then pannus, then worst of all Valley Fever. She'll be on anti-fungal medication for life. Her genetic makeup is somewhat abnormal and medications don't work as expected for her, so all these health issues have been difficult to deal with. But she's the sweetest dog you could imagine. Here are a couple of pictures. What do you think... DS or not?

She looks great for all the health problems and age. Probably some Dutch here, but the white says there's a mix somewhere.

Welcome to the forum, and thank you for rescuing.
