August 2012 - Goodnight

Post by icvanstra »

The theme for August 2012 is a bit sleepy...feel like taking a nap?

EN: Goodnight
NL: Weltrusten

.....

The usual rules:
1) please submit one photo
2) you must have rights to the photo that you submit
3) please put the dog's name in your post
4) contest will be open until around the end of the month ... voting will begin sometime after that.

Okay ... okay... okay...

I know my dutch language skills are not the best. But I was corrected by Deb's second favorite dutch female the other evening with the spelling I used... :pint:

Maybe it is an issue with the Southerners??

It's the spoken version you have Eric... Judith's spelling is correct, but we say "weltrusten" or even shorter "Trusten"
Anyway, I must have some sleepy pics....

Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.

Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!

I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences.

Christie - it does look funny since it's resting on a chew hoof that is the same color as her. So not spoiled with 3 chew things right by her. :)

OK guys.. I had a pic in mind, then saw the cute puppy shot, so went to find out of K's puppy pics, then ended up snapping a bunch of pics (if you are a friend on FB you can see a ton) I had a hard time chosing the shot I wanted to submit, but I have decide on this one. K loves to "cuddle" and will cuddle on command :) when I stop petting him he rolls over on his back and stretches to get my attention.
