Tell us about yourself: DS and Mal foster newly approved aug'12 by NADSR and ABMCR. high-functioning Autistic in nyc/hamptons in my 60's. Rescued the smartest dog i had ever seen off nyc street in 2000. Tracedog's intelligence exceeded by multiples my judgement that day. My first [and only as of 10/2012] dog turned out to be a DS, perhaps with a touch of something else, but attention to detail, behavioral traits, and physical habits, movement, and skill identical to DS. But MUCH more intellectual ability. supremely confident in all settings, fearless, very outgoing and social with people and friendly with dogs. Seldom apart in over 12 years, Trace Dog was the most important relationship of my adult life; he was my partner. He died july17,2012. i am dying without him. www.youtube.com/tracesobaka www.dogster.com/dogs/637612

some brand new pics of the three puppies. sadly, these are the only pics i have since the ''pumpkin'' pics of last fall. i have been in a no-camera mode. so these are purposeful records of birthdays - so i apologize for how unexciting they are. but the pups have been very good - maturing seemingly on their own in unexpectedly good ways.

this is most true for Xander whom a DS trainer [ who has also trained a # of Ds for TV/movie appearances ] said has the best temperament he has ever seen in a DS. i love Xander's problem-solving skills, his unbounded exuberance, and his ability to correctly understand my instructions and desires. anyway, i say this because XANDER STANDS AS A GREAT TESTAMENT TO THE MUTUAL BENEFIT [ for human and dog ] OF ADOPTING A RESCUE. Xander was retrieved for me from a putrid kill ''shelter'' in Texas by a most wonderful woman who happened to spot him there.

photos start with TRACER [ 1 yr. old today ], then XANDER and then SAKIMA, who respectively turned 14 and 24 months old sometime in April.
