Okay, it's not about Dutch Shepherds, but it was an interesting read.

The author is a writer who also is involved in dog rescue. The subtitle is "Dog Rescue and the Meaning of Life."
The preface to this book was incredibly powerful. I got chills and my eyes started welling up as I read it.
The rest of the book doesn't come close to the same feeling, but the stories and the research is extremely informative - Lots of human, canine, and other animal psychology.
One big takeaway from the book is how they dealt with the worst of the worst (as far as health and mental stability) --> they let them be dogs.
I do recommend this to all dog and animal lovers, and I am sure some of the members involved in rescue will relate and maybe understand their own motivations better.
