I stopped at the pet store on the way home from work the other day and I picked up some new treats for the dogs. They are lamb lung! (Merrick brand)
Anyway, Diesel is in love!
With the promise of a treat, he even layed down in the most realxed way and let my clip his nails! (He has always tolerated it, but this time he was super relaxed.) Diesel is not very food motivated so these are great. Plus I got in trouble from my vet for giving him beef liver treats with his (still unknown) allergy, so I figure since he is on a lamb diet, he might as well get lamb treats.

- Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.
Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!
I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences. - Location: Victoria BC

I am still laughing about when you and Sugar walked past the ducks and then you gave her the duck treats!Sugars Mom wrote:Ooohh...I got Sugar some lamb organ treat once and she LOVED them too!! Now I can't find them : (

Re: New Treats
those are the greatest and are our everyday pocket treats, since they don't stain your pocket with oils and suchy. The cats love them, too (broken into small bits, of course).
glad you found them!

Re: New Treats
I have been using them for recall reinforcement with Diesel...we were having trouble with distractions. Diesel has never been food motivated when we are out of the house so these treats must be something special because he comes running now, even with distractions around. I just hope he doesnt get bored of them.leih merigian wrote:those are the greatest and are our everyday pocket treats, since they don't stain your pocket with oils and suchy.
