Okay...that sounds seriously painful...ball joint protruding...OUCH!

Fish oil - Omega 3's are broken down into two acids EPA an DHA. The ideal dose of fish oil targets the EPA. Take the dog's weight x 20 = target daily EPA dose. Ex: If you have a 50 lb dog, your daily EPA dose is 1000.

Vitamin E - You can safely give 200-400 mg daily. E is a fat soluble vitamin, so I wouldn't go over 400 mg daily. **Note here on vitamin e...there is natural and synthetic. The natural will say d-alpha tocopherols. Synthetic will say dl-alpha tocopherols (the synthetic form is usually made from petroleum, refined oils, turpentine, sugar, and artificial preservatives). The natural "d" form is the only one the body recognizes.

Tell us about yourself: Rescued a dumped DS puppy from the freeway and found his littermate in a nearby shelter two weeks later.
