Bernhard Flinks Seminar - Indianapolis - March 25 to 27

Post by icvanstra »

O.G. Landshark Schutzhund, Polizeihunde, und Rettungshunde and Sportwaffen K9 are pleased to announce the confirmed dates for hosting a training seminar with Bernhard Flinks in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 25, 26, and 27 - 2011!!!!

Bernhard Flinks is an accomplished German Police K9 Officer and Top Sport Competitor with multiple dogs. Not only an excellent handler, he is also a world class training helper who can read each dog individually and work them optimally toward their own success and development. Bernhard speaks fluent English, and communicates very well with the handler teams to get them to understand what is needed, what is being done, and why. There are very few people who do this accurately. Bernhard is one of them. He is also an extremely down to earth nice guy who makes training fun, while being completely polite, honest, and upfront with the handlers about what both their dog and their training needs to succeed.

Obedience and Protection will be the main focus, time and weather permitting some Tracking will be covered as well. Bernhard brings a wealth of knowledge in training and reading dogs, from the young pup to the really tough dogs. Lots of information will be covered on several different types of dogs with different issues in various stages of training. Bernhard has given numerous seminars around the world and continues to get rave reviews from attendees. We chose Bernhard because he fits in extremely well with our philosophy that you can train hard, train right, and still have a good time with your friends. This will be a very entertaining event enjoyable for all with something to learn for everyone, from the novice beginner to the seasoned handler!

There will be low cost dog friendly hotels in the area recommended to accommodate your stay with well maintained interstates for commute. Indianapolis offers an International Airport for the long distance traveler. All hotel information, addresses, GPS locations, etc., will be provided to attendees prior to the seminar. Lunch will be offered at the seminar for a small cost and drinks will be available for purchase as well. We will have a licensed veterinarian on hand should any need arise. A professional photographer will be on site offering photo services for handler teams. Average temperatures in Indianapolis in March are 45-60 degrees making it easy on dogs, handlers, and helpers alike.

Costs and details for the event are as follows:
Working team slots are for one handler with one dog in each phase. One dog may do all phases, or one in obedience / one in protection, etc. Working team slots ARE LIMITED to give teams the most bang for their buck and will go quickly. Spectator spots are not limited and are available for a discounted rate. Whether a working team slot or a spectator slot, you will see and hear many dogs worked and discussed and will have much to take in information wise. Rules for videotaping will be discussed prior to the seminar. Seminar will start with Bernhard giving instruction on theory and will move into training. Questions and discussion will be offered at points so as not to detract from training. Prong collars, e-collars, etc., will be permitted when used properly. Seminar will start promptly at 8am each morning.

Working team slots are only $125 per day, or $300 for all three seminar days.
Spectator slots are only $50 a day, or $125 for all three seminar days.
