DS Mix?
I am still looking for a DS rescue or mix ( male under 5 months). I am on the approved list with NADSR but am keeping my eyes, and ears open everywhere. I found this little guy and am wondering if any of you could comment on whether he looks like he might have some dutch in him. His sister is fawn. He is listed as a shepherd mix 8-10 weeks old out of a florida flea market. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I am looking for a pup as both a companion, and possibly to do scent detection work ( I do wildlife genetics and we use dogs to find fecal samples for the DNA). Anyway, any thoughts would be welcome. I am also considering a GSD/dutch mix puppy, but this little guy is a bit older so I could get up and running sooner. I will post pics of both.
Thanks much for any thoughts, feedback etc.

Re: DS Mix?
Based on just that picture, it certainly could be. I'm a little confused. Obviously the 2 pictures are not of the same dog. The top one is GSD/DS? Funny how similar they look at that age.

I am assuming the bottom one is the fawn sister. I too think that it certainly could be DS. Both of them. (since fawns happen in some litters)

Re: DS Mix?
From the way I read the post, the top pup (Darker one) is a 5 week old Pup he is considering, and he knows he is a GSD / DS mix, the bottom pic (Lighter one) is an 8-10 week old pup he is also considering and he is questioning if he could also be a DS.
Yes I think the lighter probably could be a DS. I personally like the darker pups so pending their temperment I would take the darker pup. You can still start stuff at that age, all in fun..
