Tell us about yourself: Lifelong animal person- I professionally trained horses before my children were born. New to DS's, but not new to high drive working dogs. :) Currently have a 1 1/2 yr old DS, Koenig, and a 2 yr old English Pointer Sara. They are both rescues. Oh yes, I work at a multi species non-profit animal rescue, on Bainbridge Island, WA

Want to know anything else, just ask!

Koenig- 2 yr old KNPV style DS

Here are Koenig's conformation pics. He's 2 (well, in 5 days!) Male, neutered. 27'' at the shoulder and 85lbs.

I realize you can't really see his front end build here, but it's the best I can find. :) I'll get a better one soon. He's very very wide, but his legs (suprizingly) are straight, and his feet are forward, not pointing in/out.

This one is just cause I haven't shared it here yet, and it's funny. :)

I LOVE that last pic.

Most of our dogs are KNPV style - that just means mixed with a bunch of stuff. LOL. Some just show their outcrossings more than others. I guess it makes the term DSx more appropriate. I think most of us have mixes, just some more look the part. On http://www.bloedlijnen.nl they list the dogs as they are which I think is very respectable.

Hey Judith, is there an unwritten standard for when a brindle goes from a DSx to a DS based on generations out?

Tell us about yourself: I have had a DS for almost a year. Gwen and I are considering participating in PSA and or possible Ring Sport. I also have a Great Dane. I have grown up around working GSDs and my last GSD was a working K9 officer. I am all about dogs and animals in general and want to learn as much as I can about training.

Gwen's grandfather is a Mal.. does that maker a lil bit of this and a lil bit of that?? I wouldn't trade her for the world though.

I thought it was technically 3 generations of brindle. I think that was what the old DS registry said. I'm not sure what UKC goes by.
