Re: is this dutch shepherd
I just posted under your intro, asking if she was a long-haired DS or a Belgian tervuren. Others who could better comment may ask for more specific photos. Your dog is stunning.

Re: is this dutch shepherd
Based on the size you mentioned in the PM, 165lbs, 30 inches is way too large for a DS or tervuren. Most Dutch Shepherds fall between 50-70 lbs for a female, with some a little less or more. Tervs are about the same.
I'm going to stick with a Shiloh Shepherd.

That dog isn't 165 lbs. I can tell that just from the pictures. She's maybe 70 pounds tops unless her mom is 7 feet tall. Are you measuring to the top of her ears or shoulders? I would say that looks like a Long Haired Dutchie but would be interested in where you got her.

The dog is 165lbs. I had a few PMs back and forth with the owner to confirm that because I wasn't sure. You can't tell everything from a picture.Mark77 wrote:

- Tell us about yourself: I am in New York State. Got my first DS about 14 years ago (more or less as a rescue- lost her in Nov.). After years of GSD's, and a few dogs of other breeds (Rotti/Beauceron/Ger. Shorthaired Pointer/ Yorkie and my current Jack Russell) I now have another DS, 4mo female, no name yet, tho I have a few in mind.
Also have a horse-old quarter horse mare-32.

Re: is this dutch shepherd
I'm going with it being a coated GSD mix, from the 3rd and 4th pictures. Especially in the 4th, where I can see that bit of silver coming down from the withers, and the saddle type GSD color pattern.
