Dutch Shepherd Mix?

Post by Amae24 »

I recently rescued this guy from a local animal shelter. He was listed as an 11 month old Dutch Shepherd mix. I'm not very familiar with this breed, so I wanted to see if you all agree. Thanks for you help

Tell us about yourself: First time shepherd rescue who has wanted a pure shepherd since I was a kid. Now that I have the finances and space for it I took the plunge and I think I may have ended up with a part Dutchie! As soon as I met him my reserves for a pure GSD went out the window

Could be, but also could be many other breed. There are a ton of breeds that yield a brindle coat and honestly, my best guess here would be Plott Hound from the ears, face and tail. Anything is possible and you will never know for sure because you can't test for DS.
