Hey everyone!
Please help me get the word out about Phoenix. She has been in foster care for way too long. Although I love her, and she has a fun life here, she deserves to be in a forever home of her own - and 2 years in rescue just isn't fair.
Please post her blog on your Facebook Pages, Twitter and any other form of social media - and encourage others to crosspost as well. The more people that can learn what a sweet, funny girl she is, the better chance of getting a home she has!

Thanks for being her foster all this time Christie. She looks like a ham who, indeed, deserves her own forever family. It is amazing what 'sells' and that doesn't. This one looks perfect for a loving family. Why on earth was she passed over until now? Keeping fingers crossed for her and yes, I will spread the word.

- Tell us about yourself: I am in New York State. Got my first DS about 14 years ago (more or less as a rescue- lost her in Nov.). After years of GSD's, and a few dogs of other breeds (Rotti/Beauceron/Ger. Shorthaired Pointer/ Yorkie and my current Jack Russell) I now have another DS, 4mo female, no name yet, tho I have a few in mind.
Also have a horse-old quarter horse mare-32.

Isn't she the one with the "Angel" marking on her chest? Sweet looking girl---Maybe she's meant for someone very special who just hasn't found her yet.

Hey John,
It was mostly me who thought that Phoe would not be the right match. Reading your stories of how your previous dog loved to play at dogs parks and visit the neighborhood....that's just not Phoe. Although she is amazingly loving in her home environment with people, she has to be "managed" and handled in interactions with other dogs. I think we felt that a more social and accepting dog with other 4-leggeds would be a better match

Re: Blog - PLEASE HELP CROSSPOST
I was "this close" again to showing the husband her picture, and then I remembered all the whining I listened to for two days the last time I mentioned her. Best of everything to her. You're such a doll for keeping her so long. (E-mail, girlie.)
Though I can only hope to become the person who my animals believe I am, the things that they have taught me have made me a better human being. ~~~Sharon~~~

Re: Blog - PLEASE HELP CROSSPOST
I totally understand Christie about having to constantly manage a DS like Phoe when it comes to other dogs. I have the same situation with Zip. You can never ever let your guard down and it is a chore. I had a lapse of judgement twice with Zip over the past 7 years and it was disasterous both times. You are wise to use extreme caution in Phoe's adoption.
