I think Leela is enjoying being the top dog in the house now. I wonder how she's gonna feel when we get a new companion?

My dogs are settling into one of their fall past times......eating hickory nuts. It’s amazing how they know it’s time. I don’t really like it, but not much I can do about it.

- Tell us about yourself: I am: a father of 2 boys, a carpenter, hunter, runner. We have extensive experience with sled dogs, shepherd mixes, a wolf hybrid, and our current dog a 95# long haired Shiloh Shepherd. We added Endeavor in April 2016. She was not working out in HRD. I train for game recovery and general utility.

SEL, that reminded me of a pretty squirrelly situation that came to pass a few weeks ago. I may get back on here to share, but it was basically just a moment of clarity for me regarding the complete and total lack of discretion among many dog owners

Other than taking the dogs for walks around the neighborhood, out to the occasional state parks, or having a fire in the fire pit- the dogs are kind of set in their ways since they are older. Seems they finally slow down a bit when they get around eight or nine years old.
