Active LH Dutch Shepherd Breeders?

Post by CameronB52 »

Hi, been researching this topic for a while now, and my search mostly spans North America and Europe. I am looking for LH sheperd breeders to make contact with. I have searched this site and looked at other resources and came up pretty short as more than half of the websites don't even work anymore, or they stopped breeding. If anyone could point me to reliable breeders on the face of the globe I would appreciate it.

Your best option is if you have a working dog club nearby. Most of the time their regular training sessions are open to visitors, and you could ask around for breeder recommendations.

There also a FB group for those seeking Mal and DS breeders.

I can only think of one long hair I've seen in the past couple years, and that was on here. Use the search bar and grab a cup of coffee and a snickers, cuz it's a common question.

What interests you specifically in a long haired DS?

My opinion, don't buy FCI dogs based on coat length, stick with healthy protection line KNPV dogs only. The KNPV dogs are tested for working ability- not for "looks". Less of a chance of genetic issues with KNPV lines.
