I don't believe the explanation. This is animal abuse in my world. I'm open to debate, but this reaction needs to be immediate and not punitive. Dog didn't learn anything from this.

That does not look like good handling to me. Nothing in that response would make Bramble give up a toy. I'm a "innocent until proven guilty" kind of girl, so I can't say animal abuse, but doesn't look effective to me.
