February 2011 Photo contest - Winter

Post by icvanstra »

In honor of much of the US getting hit with winter weather some big storms recently - even Dallas had snow today from what I hear.

This months theme is: Winter

If you are one of the lucky folks that lives in a warm climate, mix it up and show your kind of Winter!

...

The usual rules:
1) submit one photo
2) you must have the rights to the photo
3) Put the dog's name in the posting f the photo

Maybe it should be summer so we can see pictures of green grass and trees since I think I have forgotten what they look like. :(

Well, we dont have the usual winter landscape here in the deep south as you folks up north do, but it is quite cold right now at 18 degrees. Was 65 degrees yest. Like they say around here, if you dont like Louisiana weather just give it a few hours and it changes drastically. I'll try to get creative with this and enter. You all keep warm now!

 12 degrees here last night (-11 celcius) and worse expected for this coming night.
It was, indeed, 76 last week. (25 celcius) :o
I have pupsickles right now, but they honestly seem to having a great time out there in this cold. :yernuts:
I too shall try a submission, but Madix is great again.

Texas is making you soft.

Amazing how adaptive dogs are. Abby definitely prefers the cold with her long fur...but Cino doesn't mind much either.

...

Time for the annual camping trip!!! Several inches of ice on the ground right now. The Highs this weekend will be mid 30's (F) and lows in the 20's ... makes me kind of miss the -20F years :eew: With temperatures like this the ground tends to get a bit soft and muddy...

Ya think? Wanna come down here in August, maybe? We'll work some dogs and get to decide who is soft afterwards.

Not sure that "winter" is as appropriate now?!?! Middle of February and I'm running around in a T-Shirt and was out on the motorcycle.
