August 2019 Theme - Open

Post by centrop67 » Thu Aug 01, 2019 1:43 pm

This month's photo contest theme is open. That's right, any photo you want.

We always get some really good pictures when the theme is open, so I am sure this go around won't disappoint.

Post here, IM, email or DM on FB page. Please include member name and dog name if you don't post here.

DS in the photo and 1 entry per member.

Tell us about yourself: Aloha, My name is Chris I live in Maui and rescued a 10 month old Dutchie with a tad of hanging tree cattle dog in him. I rescued him from a family who thought they were getting a black lab when they took him on lol... I put him to work right away and made incredible gains with him for the 3 months I had him. He worked well on the e collar and in 3 months he went from one families headache to my best friend capable of much more than I could ever write about. Unfortunately a horrible accident occurred and he passed 2 days ago. I am hoping to get over the loss by seeing the joy these dogs bring others and possibly find a breeder one day.

Tell us about yourself: I am the owner of a 1 year old Dutch Shepherd named Pepper. We go on nature hikes often and always wrap up with a visit to Starbucks for a cold tea and a pupcup! We do live in an apartment in the large city of Dallas,TX but that doesn’t stop us from getting plenty of exercise and adventure under our belt/collar.

This is Pepper, who just celebrated her 1st birthday at the beginning of this month! :) I've been obsessed with this pup since I rescued her!

Tell us about yourself: We live in California and currently have two dogs. Mallory is 9 and a rescue she is german shepherd/rottie. We also have a 10 month old german/Dutch that we got at the age of 4 weeks. He was abandoned and very sick. After 15 weeks of antibiotics and 2000 in vet bills he is our baby. He has passed the CGC certification and the Advanced CGC. He is currently doing protection training right next to our city’s finest canines. We never heard of the Dutch breed until our little Tucker came into our lives and we are so happy he has.

Tell us about yourself: Apparently I just adopted a Dutch Shepherd. My experience have been with Dalmatians. The shelter listed her as a 3 year old Dutch Shepherd, which truthfully I didn't even know was a breed. I picked her because she is so sweet and energetic. But looking at the forum, I'm wondering if I might have taken on more than I will be able to handle. I did reach out to s DS rescue and they say she does appear to be a DS. But so far she's a joy and though not trained is catching on quickly.
