I was also at a show this weekend. I had Boaz entered in a local UKC conformation show. He was the only Dutch Shepherd. Not a surprise.
But when we went in to show with the Herding Group he was chosen for 3rd place in one show and 4th place in the other show! The judges were very happy to see him. That means he has 2 of the 3 required wins for a UKC Champion! We need one more.
I had some professional photos taken. As soon as those are emailed to me I will post them. He's really growing up into a handsome guy.
I know very few here show, or even care about, conformation, but I'm a proud mama!
Tell us about yourself: I am a mom of 6 life forces - 2 kids and 3 dogs 1 hamster. I live in Ct. I have trained Ringsport and Agility and have 2 DS, one 15 and 7 and a Basset Hound Cookie who is 2
Tell us about yourself: I like Dutch Shepherddogs, especially the roughcoat. At the moment we have three dogs, two DS (one female who is 10 years and one male who is six months) and one male Laekenois at the age of three. We live in the north of The Netherlands.
Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.
Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!
I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences.
Tell us about yourself: Had a GSD, am getting a DS puppy in a few weeks. Compete in agility, obedience, and cross train in tons of stuff. Found out about this site from the DS Rescue yahoo list.
It would be a sad world if people couldn't respect another's accomplishments, even when they're in a different arena than one's own particular interests...

Darn! I'm having some trouble with the photographer's interpretation of my dog. The colors are washed out. I tried to correct the first one a little, but I am going to let the photographer work on it. I am also going to have him change the background to a different color. He photographed with a "green screen", so I can put anything I like there. Here's a preview. He is looking very wolf-like. My baby is growing up!

Tell us about yourself: My name is Katrina, I have 1 dutch shepherd name Merlin. He is a handful and keeps things in our house very interesting and fun :)
Tell us about yourself: We current own 1 Dutch Shepherd - ThunderHawk's Child of Lilith "Mazikeen" And we have loved and lost 3 - Vrijheid's Amie "Vada", Vrijheid's Hafwen "Letty" and Sather's High On Life "Narcotic". We train/compete in mondioring and agility.
