NADSR needs some Christmas help

Post by whk9k9 »

Calling all Dutch Shepherd owners and lovers, :dsshock:

Since 2006, North American Dutch Shepherd Rescue (NADSR) has provided Dutch Shepherds a second chance by rehabilitation and re-homing as well as educating the public about the responsibilities that comes with owning a dog of this breed. This is made possible through our supporters. :wtg:

Last year, generous donations helped more than a paw full of Dutch Shepherds find forever homes. We were able to properly vet each and every one by altering, vaccinating, micro chipping, worming, flea prevention, heartworm testing, and starting all on heartworm prevention. We did have two Dutch Shepherds come up heartworm positive and with our funds we were able to treat one and the others treatment was donated. We had a good year and are very thankful! :D

We experienced some loses in our Organization with Christie Meyer, one of our founders, stepping away as well as a couple of members of the Board of Directors. We had a couple of Board members continue their run and a few new members join. All and all we rallied and pulled through the year. :yeah:

Without your generosity and support, none of this would have been possible. :hail:

This Holiday season finds NADSR with 6 Dutch Shepherds currently in foster and looking for forever homes. Our goal is to raise money to send each one of these special dogs and their foster families who care for them a care package including: a gift card to Petsmart, treats, and toys. We would also like to be able to purchase new dog beds for each of these dogs.

It is known that dogs that are properly rehabilitated, loved, and cared for are more likely to succeed in their next home. We hope to give these dogs a better advantage this time in life.

We hope you will join us in reaching our fund raising goal. A simple donation can be made online http://www.dutchshepherdrescue.org/store via our secure PayPal link, or you can also send a check payable to NADSR to: PO Box 1255, Jamestown CA 95327. If you would like to donate a Kuranda bed you can find the link on the same site above or go directly to Kuranda http://kuranda.com/donate/6977.

Please, we request that you do not send treats or toys as we would like to minimize shipping costs.

If you would like more information, please contact me directly at trudy@dutchshepherdrescue.org .

We, the NADSR Board of Directors, sincerely thank you for your time and continued support!

Sincerely,

Trudy Donais, Cheryl Kreinbring and Traci Locke

How awfully nice and generous. :)
Though I can only hope to become the person who my animals believe I am, the things that they have taught me have made me a better human being. ~~~Sharon~~~

Thank you for those who have supported our cause! :stickman:

We had wished for 12 beds to be able to put one in every foster home and so far have received 5. Thank you!

There is still time to meet our goal, so if Christmas was tight but you find yourself in the new year with some extra and want to help provide a bed for a dog in foster you can visit this link.

Again thank you all for your continued support!
