Geyser's vet does this, too. She doesn't have the waterfall stuff in the lobby, but is wholistic  . Geyser prefers women anyway, so I'm sure it helps that her vet is one  . She does the whole exam on the floor, with me right down there with them holding my pup.

She has always had confidence issues, but this is where they come out the strongest, alas, and they are the least amenable to my interventions.

Well, we just discovered that Odin has cracked pads. After seeing some blood on the deck, I noticed that his paw was bleeding :( . Upon futher investigation with a flashlight he has alot of crackage. On one paw he has a one inch slit - poor baby!!

I bought him toddler socks that have skid proof bottoms (so he doesn't slide on the floors) to put on after we clean his feet with Neosporin. Picture to follow shortly.

Those socks are definetely more stylish than the simple white cotton socks Marco and Jerry got for the hot sand in the summer.

Tell us about yourself: I am in New York State. Got my first DS about 14 years ago (more or less as a rescue- lost her in Nov.). After years of GSD's, and a few dogs of other breeds (Rotti/Beauceron/Ger. Shorthaired Pointer/ Yorkie and my current Jack Russell) I now have another DS, 4mo female, no name yet, tho I have a few in mind.
Also have a horse-old quarter horse mare-32.
Can't wait for all the snow to get gone! Spring is coming too slow this year!

Very cool sox! Does he leave them alone?

Sorry about his feet...I found some stuff on line, if you're interested, that is supposed to actually strengthen the pads and skin, but you have to apply every day (nite is good), and it takes 10 sec to dry, so it's kind of a production. If I have further trouble with Geyser's feet, I may try it, but for now, they're not a real problem.

yes, very interested. would appreciate the info. We've been using Mushers Secret, but too soon to tell if it works. Suppose to heal cracks, burns, etc.
