- Tell us about yourself: Hi.....my name is Angela. I have 2 daughters and 1 granddaughter. All of my dogs (and cats) are rescues. I have a puppy that we just adopted that I think could be at least part Dutch Shepherd. We also have a 2 year old pug/min pin mix and an 11 year old border collie and possible lab mix.
AKc star puppy
Anyone else do this program? I was told I need a mat for Roxie to bring to class. Wondering what qualifies....bed? Blanket? Rug?

Re: AKc star puppy
There is no mat required for the AKC STAR puppy program, so it must be a skill set that your partiuclar trainer likes to teach. I love starting a place command early, so kudos. I am sure they are flexible, but one of my favorites is the new memory foam bath mats that are available everywhere now. They are just cushy enough to make me feel good, easy to run through the washer and have a non-slip backing so they don't slide around. You can usually find them for under $20 and I think they are worth their weight in gold!
Good luck with the class!!
