Just a quick notice. It looks like I'm the lucky person that gets to make a home for Rembrandt! Thanks to Trudy of NADSR for considering me a good match for him and vice versa. I'll be making my proper thank yous here later, as I need to get ready to go, but I wanted to share my excitement and anticipation with everyone here.
And yes, I know, pictures! I'll do my best!
Have a great Sunday everyone!
I'm leaving soon!

I enjoy my online anonymity. I'm open about most everything though many parts of my private life I prefer to keep private. If I’ve not offered particular areas of information it’s usually because I don’t feel it’s relevant to the situation. I tend to quietly monitor and observe, offering input when I feel I have something important to share and if I feel strongly about something. I don’t hesitate to ask questions if I don’t understand something, regardless of how it may appear to others that I might be a simpleton. Once I get started talking though, I tend to talk a lot, so you've been warned about that!
Please do not take this as anything more than what it is, a desire for privacy. I am not intending to offend or be rude.

Re: I'm leaving soon!
Thanks friendly people!
We're home, met the not-dog cats, sniffed about and approved the place, had some nibbles, and now this very large to me peaceful monster is stretched across the bed softly snoring the long day away.
Tomorrow will be a trying day since I'll have to leave him here, but I'll be returning as soon as I can and then we have three weeks to learn what he expects of me.
I'll do pictures when I can get him to sit still long enough for me to take them, and we won't have to think about that chain and muzzled picture any more!
Thanks thanks thanks many times over to Trudy, Stevie, and Dawn for all of their efforts. I'll go into more detail when I get a chance later on in the week and thank everyone properly!
And yes, he's beautiful, handsome and gigantic!
Dreamtime for us. Oh, and we just got an approval of this message as he scanned it, but it seems I've typed too long and am supposed to be paying attention to him now, not pecking at the silly not-toy!
Updates will be here in a few days. Thanks to Stephanie, Barbara, and Leih and your fur families for the comments!
Oh look! Isn't that cute!?! He's fitting right in! He drools in his sleep just like me and one of my cats!

- Tell us about yourself: Artist, Mother, Equestrienne, Educator, Homesteader wannabe, dog-lover. Not counting my current DS, I have had 2 GSDs and 3 rescued mixed-breeds. All of these dogs were rescues, except for my childhood GSD, who was a gift from my parents when I was 7, and my current DS who I bartered artwork for from the breeder. Maiyou, one of my current dogs, is a Pitbull/New Guinea Singing Dog of 13 years old. Still very active and "Young" in nature. I now also have a DS named Mokume, (pronounced "Moh-koo-meh") or "Moko" for short. Newest member of our pack is Freyja, a random mixed hound I rescued during a horseback trip in the middle of a state forest.

Re: I'm leaving soon!
Congrats! To both of you! I've been a little out of the loop, both away from this forum for a day or two and I'm one of possibly 3 remaining people in the US with no facebook account! *lol* So I don't know any of the back-story here that some people have alluded to but it's sounding like he is in a much happier home, now! Can't wait for more updates and pictures.

Re: I'm leaving soon!
Thank you so much Autumn! And I stuck it out as long as I could, but felt I should go ahead with the facebook thing so I could comment on the NADSR page there! I was almost the last! I didn't know there were only 4 of us left! I was so close!feraloup wrote:Congrats! To both of you! I've posted a thank you message to the people who helped bring Rorhin aka Rembrandt in the Whatever section, and there is a link in that post to Rorhin's posting of his pictures and some of what he's got to say! And yes, the goal is to be happy with a happy dog! Thanks for your kind words. Here's the link:

Re: I'm leaving soon!
Huge congrats again.
Very happy to hear Rorhin is settling nicely into his new forever home.
Yeah, the facebook thing, I will probably eventually cave in the near future, if only for being able to have a business page for my artwork. But for now I'm still a holdout.
