- Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.
Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!
I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences. - Location: Victoria BC
Mal on Letterman
Just watching Letterman, and a dog trainer brought a Mal with him. Very nice looking dog!

- Tell us about yourself: I have been training and working dogs, for over 30 years. My new pup, Zephyr, is my first Dutch Shepherd, and my first purebred dog. Zephyr is being trained in SAR work presently, and she is exceeding my expectations at 5 months of age. I fell in love with the Dutchie will working at the DoD Dog School back in 2009-2010; so versatile, so controllable, and extremely willing to do what you ask of them, and more! I'm looking forward to my life with this pup, and hopefully, any offspring that she may produce. Provided that she works out well in working dog aspects and health-wise, I plan to breed her, to begin my Working Dog program here in the Pacific Northwest; primarily for Law Enforcement and Search & Rescue.

That may have been Ken Licklider from his VonLiche kennels, in Indiana. NatGeo did that special on "AlphaDogs" on Ken and his kennel. He was an instructor in the DoD school back when I went through as a handler in 1979.
