My DS thinks he's a Mini-Schnauzer! :D

Tyson has discovered the adrenaline rush of helping his "big sister" (Baby Ruth, the Mini-Schnauzer) hunt and kill the field mice who call our back hill home. His prey drive is ridiculous-high...we are now focusing more heavily on impulse control. This kid keeps me on my toes!

Tag teaming!!! (if you look closely, you can see two butts...Tyson's is obvious, Baby Ruth is upper right).

Unfortunately, the mouse got away this time. He ran out the other side and through the fence. But he is a chubby little bugger (eats the bird seed that falls on the ground) and won't make it next time I am sure. LOL.

Saki is super effective small-critter hunter. has mostly cleared my yard and garden of moles after the mice ran out. the moles exploded in #s after TD died and destroyed last year's crops. TD never touched the moles, but he devastated their main food attraction -- he loved grubs and could detect them underground even at full-speed gallop.
TD was unbelievably high prey drive also. we made impulse control a fun game and by somewhere around 1 1/2 to 2 years, his control was perfect [ when it should be ].

Thanks John!! That gives me hope! Would love to hear more about how you worked with TD. Always looking for a fresh perspective and new thoughts.
