- Tell us about yourself: Hi, my name is Lindsey and I have a five year old boxer named Roo and a five month old DS named Eris. My girls are wonderful and Eris is beginning to learn her manners. Luckily I have an older, low energy dog to calm her down some! Love them, they are like my and my husband's kids!!
DS and Boxer
Since I can't figure out how to get anything to show up on my avatar here are my girls. Eris is the DS puppy and Roo is the boxer.

We are a family of rescues, (yeah, me included), in Southern California. My wife and I currently have two dogs, a Golden Retriever/ GSD mix by the name of Morgan, and our DS mix(?), Dinga Roo. We had never even heard of a Dutch Shepherd before until we were stalked by this nice lady in the pet store who asked us if Roo was a DS. Dang if that lady wasn't on to something. I just found this site, so here we are....

Thanks! They have both rubbed off on each other a little bit I think. When they are outside playing Roo is a lot more energetic and happy and when they are inside they'll pass out and sleep for five hours at a time. It's nice to have peace and quiet sometimes. The thing that cracks me up is Eris will wake up in the middle in the night, dreaming?, and start barking and going crazy. Scares the crap out of all of us including Roo!
