Poor Puppy

I have been doing protection/bite training with my DS Eris for the last few weeks. The trainer said she is a natural! She really loves it and is constantly trying to get in the car to go to lessons. The trainer is nice enough to let her hang out with him and the other dogs all day, on the days we have training, so that I can come straight from work because I live pretty far away from where we train. SO I get there last night and they said she had a weird lump under her chin and oh boy did she. I didn't know if it was a lymph node that was swollen or what but it wasn't there that morning. I brought her home, and she seriously pouted the whole way cause she didn't get to bite the sleeves, and set up an appointment with the vet for the next morning. Turns out it is an abscess although we can't figure how that happened. As soon as the vet said the "n" word, needle, Eris started crying and howling. I warned them she was a drama queen about needles so they were prepared but when they took her back to poke the lump to determine that it was an abscess she started screaming and I could hear the rhythmical thump, thump, thump as she threw her body around......big brave dog of mine Good new is she will be just fine and she'll be happily biting sleeves again in no time. Six months old and she is 29 lbs, vet said by the look of her she'll be a big girl when fully grown.
