Tell us about yourself: My name is Karen and I have a dutch shepherd, Xander, born 6/14/13. He is my second dutch shepherd. My first was Rawly. Even though Xander is my second I still have a lot to learn. That is why I'm here, to learn, get advice, and meet people who love these guys as much as I do.

Xander and Biking

This is the BEST thing ever. Xander comes home and actually sleeps for a short time. He truly seems to love it.

I'm so jealous. If I did that with Thor and he saw another animal, I'd be roadkill.

You both look like you enjoy it. I like the one where he's just struttin' along, happy and casual.
Though I can only hope to become the person who my animals believe I am, the things that they have taught me have made me a better human being. ~~~Sharon~~~

Xander does great. I tell him "ready" and when we get ready to turn I say "left" or "right". He turns right with me. I'm thinking about upgrading this weekend and taking him to cliffs of the neuse for a nature ride if the weather is ok. I can't wait.

That is great !!!! Thalie loves biking with me, she is off leash though, no way id be tied to her LOL. She is great, she stays on the trail or will go into the woods next to the trail. If she gets ahead of me, she will come back to find me.

Yaaaay Xander! Love this! I was thinking about trying this with H, but feared for myself suffering from intense cases of road burn. Happy to see Xander is having so much fun!

I feared road burn as well. But Xander surprised me. He immediately started strutting along like he had been doing it for years.
