Tell us about yourself: I grew up with GSD and Malinois. I have always loved the drive and temperment of shepherds and just got a DS puppy of my own.

DS pup in Charleston SC

Post by SCTINMAN »

I recently found this forum and decided to sign up since I got a Dutch Shepherd pup around Xmas. She's 14 weeks old now and full of energy. I grew up with malinois and GSD and finally got an opportunity to have my own shep. All my other dogs loved water so I'm hoping Leia will too. She's a very dark brindle almost black but I'm hoping the brindle will come out more. Currently in transitioning to a raw diet for her so any tips will be appreciated. I'll post a pic of her and her mom so y'all can see what she what she will hopefully look like full grown. Her dad was a K9 DS for a police department and her mom was a family dog who was obedience trained and protection trained for the family so I'm expecting big things from this little girl.

Welcome!

The mom's a looker. Your pup is beautiful. I especially love the last shot. What an expression.

What are your plans for the dog? How's the training going?
Though I can only hope to become the person who my animals believe I am, the things that they have taught me have made me a better human being. ~~~Sharon~~~

There are more pics in the puppy section of him. What a coincidence.I see her ears are standing good too,I'm sure your dealing with the same biting craze I am good luck. She's beautiful!

Welcome! There should be some tips around the forum about switching to raw - you may need to do an advanced search.
