Hey guys
I've been lurking here for a little while and just recently had the opportunity to adopt a Dutch Shepherd, Granby (Possibly a Dutch Shepherd Mix). We just picked her up last Saturday and so far so good, we just recently started obedience class and have been working on the basics as well as making sure she's well socialized.

Welcome to the forum.
She's gorgeous. How's she taking to the training? Is she learning fast?

Re: New Here
She's taken to training very fast as well as bonded to my girlfriend and myself very fast. We picked her up last Saturday and started obedience school on Monday. She's somewhere between 10 and 12 weeks old now. Learned sit in all of 5 seconds. She can do down, sit and stand in any order, sometimes she needs a little bit more of a cue especially in higher distraction environments. She's ok on the leash but getting better. No accidents in the house, which is probably mostly due to trying to keep her tired and stimulated outside as much as possible more than anything else.

Re: New Here
We were fortunate to adopt her from a rescue in NYC that takes dogs out of shelters in North Carolina and Tennessee. This girl is from Eastern Tennessee.
