Ranger (Tx) K-9 officer dies

Post by centrop67 »

This story is a little confusing...

Here's the link to the news story: http://www.ktxs.com/news/ranger-k9-offi ... r/50708714
The 3-year-old Dutch Shepherd (Zeke) was found unresponsive in a patrol car Monday morning. He later died at a vet clinic.
The handler has been dismissed, and it is not known whether there will be criminal charges.

The dog was retired from a different police agency due to medical reasons (arthritis). He was then purchased by the Ranger, TX police for $3K.

Texas Rangers are assisting in the investigation.
