There has been discussion about having a section just for the discussion of conformation.
With Mieke joining the board, we have created a new section under the "varieties - Standards" section.
Mieke is volunteering her time to help with conformation discussions so please be kind!
Keep in mind that not all Dutch Shepherds have been bred to meet the "standard." Some have been bred for their ability to work.
If you post a picture be sure it is your's to post. This is actually true for all photo's posted on the forum. The photo needs to be of a dog you own or bred. You own (or have the rights to publicly post) any photo.
Suggestions for Photo's:
- make them clear
- present a "stacked" photo of the dog
- a front shot
We will let Mieke and other's make some suggestions for photo's as well.

- Tell us about yourself: Dogs are my life, what can I say. GSDs primarily for nearly 50 years til bringing in my first DutchShep about 4 years ago. GSD rescue for 9 yrs, nearly 200 thru my home, rehabbed, adopted out. Been involved in AKC ob, herding, tracking, agility; Schutzhund-DVG; scent detection (HR-water)&narcotics, some patrol work. Mostly herding training at present on my little farm.
Re: Conformation section
This is exciting! I am very curious as to Mieke's critique of my own Zip although I havent a clue her pedigree. Either way, it will be really interesting to find out more.
