Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a first semester graduate student living in Arlington, VA, and - as of Friday - also the owner of a beautiful Dutch shepherd girl. Her name is Raven, she's 12 weeks old and extremely playful while also being very well behaved on the leash. We're going to do obedience and hiking/exploring the outdoors together, as well as countless hours of frisbee and ball chasing at the park.

I'm from a family of dog lovers and long time dog owners - mostly labs and weimeraners, we've had dogs my whole life. Raven is my first dutchie and I wanted to join this forum to get in on the conversation and learn more about how to keep her happy, healthy and obedient!

Tell us about yourself: I am: a father, a carpenter, hunter, runner. I have extensive experience with sled dogs, shepherd mixes, a wolf hybrid, a Shiloh Shepherd. I added Endeavor in April 2016. She was not working out in HRD. I train for game recovery and general utility.

Thank you! She's a riot but that's why I love her haha. She's from Gayle vom Dreifke in McKenney, VA.

Tell us about yourself: I'm Keith, 28 years old born and raised outside Chicago. I adopted Duke, the Dutch Shepherd from a Chicago foster based rescue. Duke had an unfortunate first 2 months of his upbringing but he's been a prince around here ever since.

Healthy, happy, energetic, and super social.

you're going to have a lot of fun with those plans, get that leash walking down so when you're hiking you can enjoy it
