I am curious about the photo that looks like a tracking exercise.

Is that two leashes? Is that common for that type of training? If so, why?

I noticed that, too. While working En last week, I ran into a situation where having two different leads would've been handy to maintain physical control. Curious.

Yes that is tracking... I run two leashes one on a fur saver and one on a prong ran under each armpit... it's helps to steer the dog when you first start tracking and then when you start teaching articles it helps to be able to apply pressure on the article when needed
