How to keep dog semen alive for transportation
I have a question for anyone who has has ever shipped semen I plan on studding my male out to a person who is 5 hrs away from me and plans on doing artificial insemination and wants 2 tubes I was wondering how do I keep it alive I've done artificial insemination before just don't know best method for keeping it alive for 5 hrs I've heard of fresh chilled but don't know to much on how to do it any information is appreciated

Some kind of product is mixed in by the vet called extender which I was told was some egg based product but no idea how it works. When I had my dog collected they sent fresh chilled from Ohio to Oregon in order to ship internationally, then in Oregon they cryogenically froze the samples and shipped it in a liquid nitrogen tank to Finland.

I called my vet they want 950$ with a 60$ office fee was trying to avoid that high bill lol

Tell them to drive their female to you. Charge a smaller stud fee.
