..................... But someone forgot to tell Saide
I dont have any pictures because I forgot my phone, so hopefully the story will be just as good.
I took Sadie to the dog park, there is a nice shallow stream there, she hasnt been in water yet. She walked right in up to her ankes right away so I figures she was good. thats about as far as whe went. I threw the ball in for Thalie, who loves to go in. Saide wouldnt go back it, no biggie, when she is comfortable. I kept throwing the ball in for thalie and Saide and I would play tug with the rope. Sadie would back up and when her pack paws hit the water, she would jump forward. Thalie went in the water and Sadie would play tug. Sadie was pulling the rope and started backing up into the water... she didnt seem to mind. She kept backing up, she backed up to a branch that had fallen and didnt seem to mind, but kept backing up into the deeper water. I keep calling her but she wont come forward. She is standing shoulder deep in the water and wont move, mind you now im hysterical laughing at her cute face. She still wouldnt come to me and I started pulling the long rope in that i had tied to her but it must have come un buclked so she was now loose, I was hoping to reel her in like a fish. She started to get a bit worried and started to let out a sweet howl, OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, my heart was braking, So in I went to save my puppie from humiliation. I walked proundly into the streem to get my little one. She was so happy and trotted right out of the stream. Thalie was sitting on the bank with a look of disappointment.

- Tell us about yourself: I have had a DS for almost a year. Gwen and I are considering participating in PSA and or possible Ring Sport. I also have a Great Dane. I have grown up around working GSDs and my last GSD was a working K9 officer. I am all about dogs and animals in general and want to learn as much as I can about training.

I love it! Gwen goes into the pond up to her shoulders... that's it ... funny thing is that she will shake while she is still up to her shoulders in the water... so she ends up spraying everyone within range..

- Tell us about yourself: I adopted a Dutch Shepherd mix (without knowing what she was) from the SPCA here in Victoria BC and am now trying to learn everything I can about this breed. My husband and I work from home most of the time so I thought it was time to get a puppy! We have his 2 boys here half the time and we wanted a nice family dog.
Sugar looks like a miniature Dutch Shepherd with floppy ears, and has every ounce of DS traits in her little body!
I hope to learn from other DS owners and share doggy experiences. - Location: Victoria BC

Great story.
I'm still working on it with Sugar too...that shoulder point is the breaking point, eh?
Let us know how it turns out next time.

Haha, great story! Thalie was probably thinking "that little brat, always gets her own way!"
