Unfourtunatly we never video's it but I remember thinking what the poor hamster must be thinking " That big hairy thing better not move !!!!"

I would rather "abuse" kitty for half an hour, than having to pull him out between Odin's jaws at one point ;) You HAVE to get an opportunity to correct him, if you have all day, ofcourse, it will be better for all to just sit and wait 'till a cat passes by and make him ignore it at this point.
For me, I felt it was easier to abuse our chickens and teach Ivil not to grab them in the chicken-pen rather then wait for it to happen and risk being to late... it's milli seconds from fence to chicken for Ivil, I am a tad slower :lol: And even though the chickens had some rough days ("wok-tok! OMG there is a WOLF in our enviroment!!! We are all gonna DIE!!!! AAAAAaaahhh!") and we had no eggs for a week :? all is well now. I still can never leave her alone near any feathered creature, but at least I can stop her when she starts to stare/focus. If she is beyond the stare I'm too late, her ears are out of order from that point on. :dschick:
