It makes complete sense that you'd want to pass on him if there will even be the potential of a problem in the future. You may have rushed into crowd interactions, but sometimes with kids you can't perfectly plan out everything anyway. It's nice that the shelter offers a trial period and hopefully that other family still wants him.

On another note, it seems like your worry between him and Sugar was resolved, so you know a little bit more about how she'll do in the future with a buddy.

I found out that the other family that was interested has kids too, so I am curious to what was decided on that...I am going to check in with the foster mom in a week to see how he is doing.

Ya, they were the PERFECT playmates for each other, so that is too bad. Perfect size, energy level, play style, etc. Maybe we can get together for play dates...
