I agree that the breeder is key, you must know them and they must know you and your lifestyle. I beleve that is why Thalie is such a perfect match, she is super quiet and not aggressive what so ever, she would be a perfect beginner dog, but she is probably one in ??? of DS that would be good for beginners, but I had known my trainer for years and already had a Mal that I was training so he knew exactly what I needed and where she was. , Kidding, Sadie is fantastic, but much higher energy, she is definatly NOT a beginner dog. I lost track of how many dog beds she has killed, luckily the CVS has really cheap beds. Thats the chance of rescue but it was worth the risk. But you MUST know what you are getting into with a DS.
