I'm guessing one of the dogs was even lighter as a pup. The one with no brindle on the front-leg seems to have just a cover of black hair, as a young pup she may have been almost yellow on that side? Not sure, but I guess it could be percieved as not brindled on that side. Ivil was pretty light (little brindle) as a pup, as the adult hair (please translate: dekhaar??) came trough she was almost black

I agree that the breeder is key, you must know them and they must know you and your lifestyle. I beleve that is why Thalie is such a perfect match, she is super quiet and not aggressive what so ever, she would be a perfect beginner dog, but she is probably one in ??? of DS that would be good for beginners, but I had known my trainer for years and already had a Mal that I was training so he knew exactly what I needed and where she was. Sadie.. well , Kidding, Sadie is fantastic, but much higher energy, she is definatly NOT a beginner dog. I lost track of how many dog beds she has killed, luckily the CVS has really cheap beds. Thats the chance of rescue but it was worth the risk. But you MUST know what you are getting into with a DS.

I don't remember which dog it was. Not Betsy, she is living at the breeder's home. When I saw the puppy, she really had no stripes on one side, but she was only 8 weeks old, and they could probably appear later.

Dekhaar= top coat.

You don't happen to have pictures in which she appears? (assuming you took baby pictures?)
I love that yellow leg on Bonnie. Never seen anything like it on an otherwise brindled dog.

I found one. I think you can see who has stripe on one side only. Though, there are some dark spots I can see.

That was exactly how I imagined her as a pup, a few darker spots that have now formed a larger dark spot in the top-coat.

Ivil's mother was the other way round, dark pup, light as an adult. I do not have a picture of her as a puppy...

I love the one blonde leg on Bonnie! Ivil sure was a cutie, she is beautiful now. Can't wait to see her pups! Her are Dingo are both so beautiful

I'm glad I found this photo, because, I can see how the different puppies look. Boaz is the green string necklace. <3

Its amazing how pups from the same litter can look so different in color. Boaz is so much darker than the other 2 pups. Merlin is so much lighter than his brother Soba was. They are all so cute though
