... it is no reason to roll over and think that telling the dog to settle down is going to work

When I finally woke up enough to realize what was happening I thankfully gave him love and affection ... and quickly got him outside in a downpour at 4:30 a.m.

I was telling one of his relatives yesterday, that if she ate s*** one more time, she would die.
I smelled this horrible odor, and found that someone had left a present on my bed. Of all places. I was here, she could have asked to go out, but didn't. So I pulled off the blanket (Phew) and sheets, cleaned the matress and started washing. It still lingered, that smell. It was not until it was dark and freezing when I found the rest of the cr@p (literally) in her crate. So I had to rinse that out in the freezing cold. She has a tendency for nasty snacks, but this was gross! If I catch her..............Oh, she wishes I won't.

That's a Willow habit! I was able to break her of it by using a remote controlled citronella collar. I stood by the window watching, and if she even sniffed another dogs poop, I sprayed her. Pretty soon she thought that poop sprays and she avoided it completely.

That's probably the only "quick fix" the dog ever gave me.

Towel followed up with cleaner and paper towels...

He warned me ... over and over and over that he REALLY needed to go out. I didn't listen... Not his fault. With all this rain we've gotten in the last 2+ days the dogs don't want to go outside and they don't want to stay outside when they finally do go out...

I have to watch out myself now, since Ivil's belly is getting BIG and she carries the pups pretty much inside again, all organs are sqeeuzed aside. So she has to go way more than usual. Yesterday she sat with Johan for about 20 min. When I came in the room he said:
"owww, she is so sweet, she has been here cudling with me for 20 min."
I said she must have a full blatter. I opened the door and she ran out and peeeeeeeeed!
Whahaha, Johan was so disappointed, it was not affection hanging around him all the time, it was a white flag "help me, I cannot open the door!"

So, how's that cold Eric? Gone?

Merlin woke me up 4 this morning too!

MY dog is SO much more polite than your dogs.... when it is raining, or inconvenient, she just goes off to a quiet spot and leaves me in peace.

...this is exactly why I can't wear ear plugs any more to block out the spousal unit's snoring (no lie, he sounds like a freaking freight train with sleep apnea ). And, I'd finally found these great wax ones that you mould to your ear...really worked!

Then one nite, when Geyser was younger, she was sick in her crate, and I couldn't hear her. That was it. I have to put up with the sound effects machine sleeping soundly next to me .

Meanwhile, she has since graduated to her own little bed, right next to mine. I only have one crate left in the house, and it's mostly for crate games and such (and just in case). I'm hoping she'll wake me if/when she gets into trouble...

Good boy for trying to wake you, Eric! Hope that cold is gone soon (I had one for three darn weeks...)

Hmmmmm. I could try an E collar on this b*tch, but I bet she would know when she had it on and when not. Her dam would prefer ]wearing the fecal matter, instead of ingesting it.
And is it not just a b*tch thing either, since I had this big powerful male, who would clean my field meticilously. If he wore a collar, he was good as gold. If he did not, the field got picked and there was just nothing you could do to stop it. I never knew how much he helped around the place, until after he passed away. I all of a sudden had to use my pooper scooper on the training field.

My girl cleans the field next to my house of all of its goose poop. And it has A LOT of goose poop.

I have other dogs helping with what the cats leave behind outside. Among other things.....
When I still had ducks (the wildlife got them when the drought got my ponds) the dogs would gladly help with what came out of the backside of a duck. And I am not referring to the eggs.
Come to think of it, I have a lot of dogs that offer to help with cleanup, but the above mentioned male was the only one who was ever compulsive about it. Yuk.

Yeah, I laughed so hard, then kept reading, big mistake. Visuals of my girls after waking me up at all hours. I would just throw them in the shower in the middle of the night and deal with it the next day.

I wonder what makes them do that, eat poo of other dogs and animals? Hummm?? Anyone seriously know? Right now, I dont have one of those but sounds like they would come in handy. I've heard before that it is typical of the DS. I do have an old CurX that is obsessed with the one cat's fecal gifts outside.

trust me, the smell will make you clean it in the middle of the night...not the next day

Luckily I do not have poo-poo lovers Sometimes it can be a lack of something in the food, lots of times it is no more than a nasty habit... Also I've heard females sometimes "learn" it tastes good when cleaning up after pups...

I think my female is too smart for that, also. I've learned to live with it when I can't get out to pick up. I also keep diluted Scope in a small spray bottle. I think she likes the Scope, too.
