Tell us about yourself: I live in Metro-West Boston with my husband and our rescued Dutch Shepherd, Minnie. She loves anything involving activity. Our first rescued DS, Kaya, loved to tug. Our second rescued DS (who actually turned out to be a GSDx), Marley, loved to nap. I volunteer for the North American Dutch Shepherd Rescue and am a member of the NADSR BOD.

4 month old female Dutch Shepherd surrendered to shelter by owners in Tool, TX. Listed on Pawsitively Texas's Facebook Page.

"Everyone meet Harley. She is a 4 mon old Dutch Shepherd. She was brought to the shelter by her owner because they could not handle the puppy thing; chewing, playing not being an adult dog. She has had her first puppy shots and has been wormed. She is kenneled with another puppy her age and they are constantly playing. Harley needs a loving forever home that appreciates the puppy thing!!"

Also posted on NADSR's Facebook page.

Kaya, adopted January 2006 (over the bridge, September 2014)
Marley, adopted February 2008
Minnie, adopted March 2015

That's good news (the adoption) and it was, indeed fast. :o Both the adoption and the pup ending up at a shelter, good grief! Why could the breeder not take her back? *rethorical question, I guess*. I guess this is a good example that matches the 'DS not for everyone?' thread.

How about the bitch in the GA shelter? Is there any progress on her too? edit. I just read that she has adoption pending. Super!

Apparently she has multiple PreAdopts pending. Sounds like she will be adopted straight out of the shelter.
