Odin's first trail walk

We took the kids (furry kids) on a trail walk this morning. It was Odin's first trail and he was super!! He can heal nicely, but we let him walk loosely as long as he did not pull.

Dakota, on the other hand had a meltdown when a dog she decided she did not like walked by us - and what a melt down she had. It was the worst I ever had with her. The entire time this was going on, Odin just watched the whole thing unfold and behaved like a champ. He was thinking that she is :yernuts: . She has issues with other dogs, mainly females, but loves her Odin.

What a good boy! He's lucky to have found you...and you him! (Although I'm envious of well-behaved Odin, I favor those dogs who listen to the beat of another drummer, so I'm in love with Dakota!)

I'm so glad that you had a nice walk and that Odin didn't jump on the barking bandwagon. I have quit walking my two together because my old dog is so dog reactive and Xena as picked it up. :x

I wish she could be as stoic as your boy! :dslook:

Boaz is reactive at times, but when I walk him with my sweet Laekenois, he is totally different and stays calm.

Glad you had a nice walk. No pictures?
