as you[ may already recognize from the lack of editing of my recent postings  right now, I don't care about typos (go figure right?)

OK, so the hip replacement, WEd, went great. The doc got in there (as I was to;ld after) and foudn taht the hip was "really really bad," whicdh made me feel very vindicated in the decision to ahve the surgery in the first place...since the MRI's and such only showed "moderate" deterioration (why? I aSked? he didn't know really  )

home yesterday...YES, two days olater...using a walker, but do two sets of exercises daily and after each, have new strength and range of motion, etc, and so, am barewly even using the walker. Cane will be very soon.

Of course, taking a good deal of pain meds...thus could care less about typos

One funny story....about the second time I got up SAME DAYS AS SURGERY MIND YOPU, to go to the restroom, wasn 't seated very well on the receptivcle...so ended up peeing all over the floor and my gown, etc...immediately, made me think of housetraining  ...so tole the nurse...they were so nice...but I just kept thinking how I know how our pups feel when they make thise little mistakes

(OK< well it was funny to me    )

WOW! That was fast. When you announced the need for surgery, I assumed that it would take the usual forever before it would actually happen. Had no clue your insurance was that good that they'd roll you in right away.
Welcome back, and glad to hear it went well. Hoping for a speedy recovery from here on. :wtg:

After quite a bit of time of barely lurking..... I'm just now trying to get caught up.

Leih - I am so glad you are back and can't believe how quickly you are pushing yourself. I'm afraid to say, I would probably milk it. You're motivation and success is really inspirational! I hope the healing goes quickly and you are out hiking with your girl soon!

OK, so like I was a bit premature about being back  Everytnbing reminds me of dog ghraining, so when I say, just because you can do it, doesn't mean you should, it applies to getting around without assistance, too (or even with it, for that matter...feels fine when you're doing it, then a few hours later...yikes!)

Geyser is being a doll. She definintely has more empathy than my GSD did, as evidenced by the wayt she moves aroundme when I'm on the crutc hes...she'll walk a few steps ahead, turn and see what I'm doing, then move ahead again, all very slowly. I was really su8rprirsed at this.

She hangs out on the bed with me a LOT. She's getting two walk/exercixsde sessions a day, per Dan and with alittle help from my neighbor, and she's decided to be just fine with this, not acting like she's not getting enough anything, etc. We had a little training sesssion with tge crutchges...hgow to pick them up, etc, and that went well and qui kly ( I just love it when a dog understands how to learn...once you have that, it's relatively easy to add somethbing new...this of cousre, doesnt' count with the stuff i have trouble with normally  , but for adddinbg in something new like a crutch pick up point, and what it is, works great).

RThanks for all the well wishes!!! Love the balloonns!
(@ Judith..one benefit of not having insurance is the lack of insurance issues  , altho we have to qualify wiht the hosp system 4x a year, gladly not my job!)
