Hey all, what national stores allow dogs, that you are aware of, other than Petsmart and Petco? I saw on here where someone mentioned Lowes. I'm trying to find more of a variety for the pup outings.

I find most banks are more than happy to have digs come in. In canada (not sure if there's any in the US) big als aquarium allows doigs so long as they are behaved, GREAT place to go for exposing different environments because of the aquarium section. Drugstores like shopper drug mart allow dogs...

I know that Lowe's does and I think Home Depot too. I would love to have a list as well because it is such a great teaching tool.

Every time I take the dogs to Lowe's I thank the people that work there and tell them how much it means to us to be able to socialize there. We have a resturant near by that will allow dogs to dine on the patio.

I can't wait to hear what other's have found!

Cabela's, the hunting/fishing/outdoor store chain, usually allows dogs. I've seen some that don't because they have a food area inside and it's against health codes to have animals in there but the ones without food courts inside usually allow them.

Bloomingdale's and Saks allow dogs on the sales floor.

Well... if you live in my neighborhood then most places do.

A bunch of bars/restaurants - definitely outside and a a select few inside. Every bank that I know of in the area. Even though the licensing administration says no - my barber says yes.

Wasn't long ago that the teller at my bank offered the dog's a treat and Cino jumped from a sitting position directly onto the teller's counter. ...trust me... not only surprised me, but the teller and the other customers as well!! It was definitely a moment of - one second on the floor and the next second sitting on the counter.

but then I have about 75 places to walk to that will provide an adult beverage and probably 1/2 are dog friendly.

Have you ever seen the movie Hooisers? In the movie the character Jimmy Chitwood is the personification of Bobby Plump. Bobby and his son own Plumps Last Shot. The place is a super dog friendly and in the dead of winter you can find a bunch of dog's hanging out inside... In warmer weather there are DOZENS of dogs on the deck.

wow, I'm surprised that those high-end stores would allow dogs. Can you see a striped beast walking on their sales floors? Most people would probably exit as soon as they saw one.

I saw a woman shopping for makeup with two giant german shepherds the last time I was in bloomingdale's (during the Christmas shopping season, no less), and nobody blinked.

I get the beast looks at Petsmart, I can only imagine someone seeing Odin in the makeup section of bloomingdales!

In our area, Lowes, Home Depot, and banks do NOT allow dogs.

Cabellas and Outdoor World allow dogs. And I take my dogs to the landscape places where I buy stone and mulch. Took them to the kitchen cabinet store one hot summer day, too. Sometimes if you ask they are okay.

I know the Lowes around me lets them in, I doubt they would come over to me and say otherwise.

I took Marco to Bloomingdale's and rode with him in the elevator. Nobody wanted to join us, though. "eehem, we take the next one" Nothing beats scaring some old rich Palm Beach ladies.

No way!!! I would have loved to been a fly on the wall. I know how the PB ladies are.

I take my pups to the Tractor Supply weekly. Always looking for new places.
