Yesterday we went to the traditional Easter Dogshow at the Dutch city of Leeuwaren whch is not far from where we live and. http://www.paashondenshow.nl/nl/
It was the second time for me and Joep and it was our goal to try to get his second point to become Youth champion. In order to win this title he had to get an " 1 Excellent" for qualification but instead he got a "Very Good" which doesn't bring any points for the title. At first I was very disappointed but after a while I realized this can happen of course so now we are looking forward to the next dogshow in order to give it another try. And for me it was a good lesson because now I understand once more that dogs can be unpredictable. Just short before the examination took place I thit some practizing with him and he did just great which gave me a lot of confidence. But when it was our turn he was hard to handle and all he wanted to do was to play whit his leash and with me. So I wasn't able to show him well which was a good lesson for me to remember the next time. All together we had a great day watching very nice looking dogs and meeting a lot of nice people.
This was the comment at his report:
Masculin head, correct bite and pigmentation, well set of ears, good neck and topline, enough body and bones for age.
Normal angulated shoulder and upperarm, falling over the croup, slightly low set tail, moves nicely when he wants to.
But would like to see a bit more drive behind, good coat and temperament.
