We went to a drop in class today to evaluate Odin on his progress with dog aggression and it went great! (Aside from pooping during the figure 8  ). He was able to greet everyone and their dog by the end of the night. Even the trainer's "distraction" Chihuahua.

  omg - that chihuahua looks even smaller next to Odin. That is the cutest pic!! Glad to hear he did not have any dog aggression. Perhaps he found the right mommy and home now.

I think it's because Odin has such a massive head and Rio is really tiny, she was a puppy mill/pet store rescue and is small, even for a Chihuahua.

I can't wait for Odin's body to catch up to his head. He's starting to fill out slowly. While we don't know his exact birthday, counting back from his vet records of his neuter (they estimated 7-8 months at the time) we believe he'll be 2 around the end of June.

This class was mainly to make sure we're ready to go into group agility classes. We've been doing a lot of private training, but I really want to get him in a group class for the distractions, socialization, and another instructor's guidance. The obedience trainer gave him the go ahead for group, but I'd like to do a few more of these drop in obedience classes first.

Hey is that really a time-out chair in the back? I've never seen one. Is the dog tied?

I don't think it's really a timeout chair for dogs, more like an overseer chair for people. They run doggie daycare in the room during the day, so if it's a large group, a second person can sit up there for backup.

He's not tied. He has a command "place" and I can just point to a spot for him to stay until I release him. I pointed to that corner and he climbed up there. It comes in quite handy, especially with his x pen at meal times and when he gets a little too 'kong in face' for us.
