Well it was Mom and Dad's 22nd anniversary and they wanted to go camping out on the sailboat. They were not sure about leaving all of the animals with Grammie, so guess what? They took ME and my baby brother, Thor! ( I guess the old dog and the cats aren't quite as well behaved as we are!) Thor didn't know what to think of the boat, but I had been there once before, so I showed him the ropes! He had to wear a life vest until he showed that he could swim really well. We had fun on the way to the camping spot. Thor just sat there but I kept an eye on everything, so we were just fine! Thor and Dad were steering. You can see how much my mom loves hugging me! When we got there, Mom said "Lets go to shore for a potty break!" (I was wondering how that was going to work because, you know, Thor is little and has to go a lot!) Then you would not believe what happened next! They pulled up a tiny little boat and said "hop in!" hmm. The first couple of times were pretty scary ~ but then I got it and could jump right in! We had lots of fun swimming and playing on the island. I kept the geese off of the island and would have chased them across the lake, but mom kept getting worried and calling me back. geesh.
Then we came back to the boat to rest and relax! Mom says she doesn't see me do THIS too often.
This was our bed. We loved it! No crates for us, no sir! And we slept ALL night long even though Mom said a storm came through. Yep, It is definitely a sailor's life for me! Thor says he likes it pretty well too!

That looks like a great trip, and happy anniversary! Hope you had as much fun as Xena and Thor did!

Thanks you all. We had a great time and are looking forward to doing it again. The only problem is that they don't allow dogs at our sail club so we have to sneak them to the boat and back out. It is a lot of gear to pack in and unload... And Thor likes to bark. My husband just says But I get nervous and antsy.

Any how, thanks for the good wishes, It seems like just yesterday, we were young and cute and ready to take life by the horns.... but now?
