Ah, Johan's best friend "Let me clean that fur for you Johan"


After his mom greeted him (WRAUWAWW GRRRRR >BEEP< off you little @$&$%#@##!!) we took some pictures of him.

it's kinda funny to me, but for his owners...
I remember going back to the breeder with Dingo when he was 10 months or so, expecting his mom to greet him like a human mom "where have you been! you look SO good!"
Instead he got the same treatment... the pups remember the place and mom as a "you can do whatever you want place" which it no longer is as they return, they have grown and need to keep their distance like an adult, that's where it usually goes wrong... Ivil actually bit him on the nose Poor guy, just a scratch, but now he nows...keep some distance...even to a familiar dog

I would love to bring Boaz back to visit his "relatives", but I know there would be no purpose. I sometimes ask him about his "mama Nora", he doesn't care.

This is my favorite.

If Willow grew up with her pups, she was a doting Mother and NO ONE better mess with them. The one that came back after a year, well he got his but chewed for messing with the one that stayed home. Ironically, I raised Brass for 3 years before placing her on a police department. I joked that she was RIDICULOUSLY spoiled. And she was. If a door in front of her was only open 4 inches and she wanted through it, she would bark and Willow would come open it for her. It was pathetic really.

But now, its been 3 years and it doesn't matter how much time has passed, they are thrilled to see each other and romp and play. It's kinda cool!

When Sugar met up with her "sister" litter mate after almost a year, there was no reaction from either of them like they knew they were related or anything. Dogs are just not people - go figure!

It's not the same with all pups, depends on how they enter I guess. This one was a bit to pushy for Ivil. We also had pups come back here a bit older, about a year, they usually act better in that age, according to Ivil, she played with those like crazy. I also believe it is different when they stay for 1-2 years, and then leave. But if they leave at 8 weeks, and come back in the idiot stage of 5 months... mom is not amused

ow yeah! But he liked johan more After all my hard work...I always get that Johan is the fun guy that comes home in the evening to cuddle and play with... I'm the not-putting-enough-in-the-food-bowl-person, clean up, bring to kennel, give nasty de-worm medicine, take to vet, put on cold scale to weigh and, oh yeah, play a little person

That's how it always is, ain't it? The main caretaker does all the work, and the fun sibling person comes home and gets all the attention

Works a bit differently with only 1 person in the house, most times for the better as no one gets to step on your authority. I get love and hate equally!
