This must be somebody on our forum, because I recognize a lot of the photos in his videos from here.

You used a photo of my dog without my permission in your video from January. I might have allowed it if you asked, but you didn't.

That name dosnt sound familiar, I checked the member list but there isnt anyone with that name. Maybe Eric can check the old member list?

Wow, there are a lot of photos on there from this forum. I tried skimming through for pcitures of Odin (didn't see any, but I don't post often) but there were a lot of Texsun (Drew and Axle) in one of those videos. The dog is one thing, but there are also quite a few people in the pictures, which bothers me. The youtube channel says the creator is from Canada, so that could narrow it down some.

That really sucks!

Under the video there are a series of buttons, next to the "share"button there is a button with a flag, click on it and there is a "infringement" button, click on it to report the video

I am mykyle5 on youtube. A lot of people use totally different names there. Mine are all racing and concert videos. You may never find the guilty party.

He emailed me saying that photos on the internet are free. I explained to him that you need to ask first. He also said that he will remove photos if asked.

There were so many photos from this forum, I was sure that it was somebody here.

Yeah, there were alot from here. Thats the problem with the internet. No, you arent supposed to just take them, but its so easy. He is still infringing on the copyright.

Also contains photo's from some breeders web sites. (Lyric's dad is in it also, I know the photo from their web site.)

The images posted on this website are not copyright protected by myself or the forum. That would be done by the person submitting the image.

Things like this happening is the reason there are people that will not post a photo on the forum or even submit them for the NADSR calendar. Once the image is on the internet there is not much you can do.

One of the best ways to protect your image is to modify it with the appropriate Copyright information.

Well if they are a regular contributer to the forum and have read this thread (evident if they sent Carole a PM/email) then they could come forward and explain/defend using people's pictures with out consent. I do think that once they are posted they are public property, but there is still such a thing as courtesy.

If they are not an active contributer to this forum, and they are only here to pirate pictures, then I think there is no reason to have them on board.

Carole - on a totally different topic, I'm not sure how we have gone so long without catching that you don't have a signature. I was sure you did. Can you rectify that?

Other than a few select sections of the board... you do not have to be a member to view the content.

Thats why alot of people dont show pictures of their children, they have been taken (pictures) and used for bad things.

I just googled Dutch Shepherd Diesel and a clicked images...a whole lot of the pictures that came up were mine. I agree with Christie that it is courteous to ask first but generally once posted on the web, they become public.
